Flare and bootcut jeans are defined by where the leg narrows and where it opens. A bootcut narrows slightly to the knee and opens modestly to fit over a boot; a flare opens more dramatically, sometimes from mid-thigh. Give the thigh, knee and leg opening for your base size, and mark the knee position.
Inseam length is critical. Flares are designed to cover part of the shoe; if the inseam is too short, the flare looks wrong. Decide whether the hem should stack, skim the floor or sit at the ankle.
Cover these points:
Flare proportions must be graded carefully so smaller sizes do not look exaggerated and larger sizes do not lose the shape. Review a size set if possible. Heavier fabric holds the flare open; lighter or stretch fabric drapes and narrows visually.
Washing and distressing also affect the look: whiskers and fading on the thigh draw attention upward, while fading at the knee emphasizes the flare.
The MOQ is 100 pcs and samples typically take 7 days once the brief is confirmed; bulk timing depends on quantity. See the stacked jeans and wide-leg jeans programs.
Show flares from the side and on a model with shoes so customers can see the silhouette. Flat photos rarely show the shape well.
A clean hem gives a neat look; a raw or frayed hem suits vintage styles. Check how the hem behaves after washing.
Heavier rigid denim holds a wide flare open; lighter or stretch denim gives a softer, swinging flare. Choose based on the silhouette you want.
Publish inseam and leg opening in the size chart; customers buying flares care about length. Consider offering two inseam lengths if your audience varies widely in height.
Check the flare is symmetrical on both legs.
